In my Composition in the Field classes at the Digital Photo Academy, I’m often asked: Which is the best camera and lens to take on vacation? The classic answer is “the one you have with you.”
That was the case here, on a potentially stormy day. I had nothing but my phone. But the classic compositional and lighting techniques still work with your phone camera. Here’s a great example. Would you have tried to get rid of those branches, or work with them?
